1. What is the percentage split between the store and the consignor?

--our split is 60/40 meaning the store receives 60% and the consignor receives 40% of the final selling price

2. How long do you consign items?

--our consignment period is 90 days from the day you bring in your merchandise; however, this is subject to change if the merchandise is seasonal or we are overstocked on particular items.

3. When do items get marked down?

--Markdowns generally begin after the first 30 days; however, this is subject to change depending on stock, condition, season, the need of the store and demand of the market

4. Do I have to donate my items at the end of the consignment period?

--NO, that choice is made at the beginning of the consignment term but can be changed upon the consignors discretion

5. Do I have to spend my money in the store? Do I ever lose it?

--NO, you do not have to spend your money in the store; however, if you do shop in the store, you will receive an additional 20% based on your purchases put back into your account as a thank you as well as an incentive to shop in KIDS CORNER CLOTHING.

Money will never be lost and will always remain in your account. There is no time limit as to when you have to pick it up or when you choose to spend it.

6. What types of merchandise do you carry? What sizes do you go up to?

--We carry new/like new/gently used clothing from newborn to size 18 in both boys and girls. In addition, we carry new/like new/gently used baby equipment, toys and miscellaneous items that children and/or families may need

7. What types of clothing can I bring in? What type of equipment do you take?

--We ask that you bring in *clothing items free from rips, pulls, stains, odors and tears. It should be in new/like new/gently used, resalable condition. Baby equipment, **toys, miscellaneous items should be in new/like new/gently used, resalable condition. In addition, items should meet current safety standards as well as be within acceptable date range. Including but not limited to car seats, strollers, infant carriers, cribs, pack n plays, etc.

*Clothing items that require additional spot cleaning or washing before being put on the sales floor will be assessed a $1.00 per item charge that will be deducted from the final selling price

**Baby Equipment and toys should be brought in WITH BATTERIES
to ensure they are in good working order. If batteries are provided to test the baby equipment or toy, there will be $1.00 per item charge that will be deducted from the final selling price.

8. Do you carry NAME BRANDS?

--We carry both NAME BRANDS and everyday brands; we take recycling to the next level by trying to cater to ALL BUDGETS and family needs

9. How many items can I bring in at a time?

--We ask that you choose your best 40-50 items, free from rips, pulls, stains & tears and those that are in resalable condition; the better it comes in from you, the better the chance of selling your items becomes

10. Do I need an appointment?

--NO but we are limiting drop offs to 40-50 items or one 15-20gallon tote; however, we do ask that if you are bringing in baby equipment or toys to please call (716) 694-4750 to make sure we have a need and the space for the larger items

11. How do I know when the consignment period is over?

--It is your responsibility to call at the end of the consignment period. We will make every effort to accommodate you picking up your items; however, two weeks after the end of the consignment period if we haven’t heard from you, your items become the sole property of KIDS CORNER CLOTHING

12. Do you advertise?

--YES! Word of mouth, of course, is our best advertising. We also use the local Bee newspapers, the Metro, Facebook, Craigslist, Moms like Me, local restaurant menus, Tops receipts, coupons, flyers, area maps and WKWB.com, the local news section,

13. Can I end my consignment before the actual end of the contract term?

--Yes but you will be subject to $1.00 per clothing item fee and a $5.00 per toy and/or equipment fee

14. Are there any items you do not accept?

--Yes. Open under garments including but not limited to boxers, briefs, bras, under t shirts/tank tops, pantyhose, etc. In addition, there may be other unacceptable items but it’s on a per case basis and is at the discretion of the management of KIDS CORNER CLOTHING

15. Do I have to price my items?

--No. Pricing items is at the discretion of the management. The general rule of thumb is that the price is ½ to 2/3rds of the retail price, depending on the condition of the item. If there is something specific you know you paid a certain amount for or would like back through your consignment, we will keep that in mind as well. Prices are always
negotiable and it is at the discretion of the management to offer
additional discounts or savings as deemed necessary on a per case basis.
